My favourite King is Juan Carlos of Spain, because he is elegant and very kind. I also like Harald V of Norway. My favourite Queen is Margrethe of Denmark, she is very elegant also... and Sofia of Spain, because she is a very pretty grandmother. And I like Queen Rania of Jordan, a very elegant, smart and beautiful woman. My favourite Crown Prince is Haakon of Norway, he is very beautiful! My favourite Crown Princess is Victoria of Sweden. I also like Joachim of Denmark and his wife Princess Alexandra, and their son Nikolai is an angel.
Adriana, Colombia (November 22nd, 1999)

Favourite King: Juan Carlos of Spain. He is the ideal King and the perfect head of state. Also Harald of Norway, Carl Gustaf of Sweden and Albert of the Belgians. Favourite Queen: Margrethe of Denmark. So regal, so royal, the perfect Queen. Beatrix of the Netherlands is my second choice. My favourite Queen consort is Silvia of Sweden, a very beautiful, dignified and graceful woman. And Sofia of Spain, a beautiful, charming lady, the spanish have the perfect royal family.

Favourite Crown Prince: Felipe of Spain, like his father he will make the perfect head of state. Favourite Crown Princess: the gorgeous Victoria of Sweden. Favourite Princess: Infantas Cristina and Elena of Spain, Madeleine of Sweden, Märtha Louise of Norway and Alexia of Greece and Denmark.
Troy, Australia (November 9th, 1999)

It is so difficult to choose favourite royals because I love them all (well most of them!). However if I have to ... My favourite King has to be Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden. Attractive, sporty, great wife and kids and seems down to earth. My favourite Queen is Margrethe II of Denmark. She is so regal and to me epitomises how a Queen should behave. My favourite Queen consort is Sofia of Spain. Gorgeous, gorgeous and gorgeous again. My favourite Prince consort is Philip of Great Britain. What a rogue and so misrepresented by the British media. My favourite former King and Queen are Constantine and Anne Marie of Greece. They always seem so happy when they are out and about.

My favourite Crown Prince is Felipe of Spain and my favourite Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden. My favourite Prince is either Nikolaos of Greece or Kyril of Bulgaria. My favourite Princess is either Anne Princess Royal or Cristina of Spain. My favourite consorts are Rosario of Bulgaria (never seen her without 4 inch heels) and Iñaki Urdangarín (what legs!!!).

But I can't forget Princess Michael of Kent (so royal, darling), Carl Philip of Sweden, Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain, the British Queen Mother, the Countess of Barcelona, Silvia of Sweden, Sonja of Norway, Fabiola of Belgium, Peter Phillips, Maria Zurita y Borbon, Ernst August of Hanover and Marie-Aglae of Liechtenstein. And all the others. Sorry I tried to cut it down but couldn't. I could go on all night!!!
John (November 5th, 1999)

My favourite Kings are: Juan Carlos I of Spain, Abdallah II of Jordan, Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden. My favourite Queens are: Sofia of Spain, Silvia of Sweden and Beatrix of the Netherlands. My favourite princes are Felipe of Spain, Haakon of Norway and Nikolaos of Greece. My favourite princesses are Cristina of Spain, Märtha Louise of Norway, Victoria of Bourbon of Two-Sicilies and Madeleine of Sweden.
Pilar, Spain (November 5th, 1999)

My favourite King is Juan Carlos of Spain. He has done a lot for that country. My favourite Queen is Margrethe II of Denmark because she has her own spirit and isn't afraid to be amongst her people. My favourite crown prince is Felipe of Spain. Not only he is smart and dedicate, but he is also very attractive and very sexy. I also like Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark. My favourite Crown Princess is Victoria of Sweden. She is a very sweet person. My favourite prince is Carl Philip of Sweden. My favourite princess is Madeleine of Sweden. She is very cute.
Mara, USA (November 2nd, 1999

My favourite royal person is Queen Margrethe II of Denmark, who has managed to put a whole new openess into her role. She grew from a desperately shy and insecure woman who suddenly was head of state at the age of 31 into a secure woman who has managed to combine her role as queen with that of an artist and translator of a number of books. She is an extremely intelligent person but at the same time down to earth. People like to meet her and she can talk to all kind of people although she is still a bit of exotic and still very shy. She has given numerous open interview- and when she had cancer some years ago it was not kept a secret. In her new year speeches she manages to say something important that most Danes HAVE to listen to at 18:00 o'clock every 31st of December, although her role is totally a-political. And furthermore this ca. 182 cm tall woman understands to dress up on official occassions always in high, high heals making her stand up from the crowd - actually she looks down at most of her fellow heads of state. And on parties and other grand occassions her dresses are of another world.

My favourite King has to be Juan Carlos of Spain for what he has done for the Spanish democracy. And Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden is the only female heir to any of the thrones of Europe - as far as we know it - therefor she is my favourite. She is also very intelligent and charming. And her looks aint that bad either.
Martin, Denmark (October 30th, 1999)

Favourite King: Juan Carlos of Spain. Favourite Queen Grand Duchess Josephine Charlotte of Luxemburg. Favourite Princess: Irene of the Netherlands. Favourite Prince Johan Friso of the Netherlands.
M., Spain (October 28th, 1999)

My favourite King is Stephan of Hungary who was crowned on Christmas Day, 1000 AD. I have two favourite Queens: Olga of Greece (nee Grand Duchess of Russia) and Alexandrine of Denmark (nee Duchess of Mecklenburg-Schwerin). Olga did so much for her husband's country and her own birthplace during the first world war, and Alexandrine is somewhat of a mystery. My favourite Crown Princess is definitely Cecilie of Germany (nee Duchess of Mecklenburg-Schwerin). She was beautiful and accepted her destiny with grace.

I have two favourite Princesses: Caroline of Monaco and Grand Duchess Marie of Russia, daughter of Czar Nikolaj II. They both are/were so beautiful! My favourite Crown Prince is Alexej of Russia. What a tragic end to a tragic life. My favourite Prince is Joachim of Denmark, and also his new son!
Ashley, USA (October 28th, 1999)

King Juan Carlos, I love what he has done for the country. King of the century! Queen Beatrix, incredibly smart, dedicated and intelligent Queen. The Dutch should be proud. Crown Prince Felipe, the best heir coming. Only one who could follow his father's footsteps. Crown Princess Victoria, she is very smart and open about her faults as well. Beautiful girl and willing to admit her personal insecurities. Admire Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, very well rounded. Understands his role and position, but retains his casual and open personality.
Craig (October 27th, 1999)

Favourite King: Juan Carlos of Spain.
Favourite Queen: Noor of Jordan.
Favourite Crown Prince: Hamzah of Jordan (very cute!).
Favourite Crown Princess: Victoria of Sweden.
Favourite Prince: Carl Philip of Sweden.
Favourite Princess: Haya of Jordan.
Vanessa (October 26th, 1999)

My favourite King is Juan Carlos of Spain, my favourite Queen is Margrethe II of Denmark, my favourite Prince is Crown Prince Felipe of Spain, and my favourite Princes is Anne the Princess Royal of Great Britain. The one thing that these royals have in common is that they believe themselves to be true servants to their country and do not let their royal status define them but carve out roles for themselves.
Lauren, USA (October 25th, 1999)

My favourite Crown Prince is Pavlos of Greece. My favourite Crown Princess is Victoria of Sweden. My favourite Prince is Nikolaos of Greece and princesses are the Infanta Elena and Cristina of Spain. My favourite King and Queen are Constantine and Anne-Marie of Greece.
Adrienne (October 25th, 1999)

My favourite King is Juan Carlos I of Spain, because he managed to transform Spain into a democracy, and that was not expected from him. My favourite Queen is Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother (Britain). She is quite a lady! I think she meant a lot for the moral among the British people during the war. My favourite Princess is Lilian of Sweden Duchess of Halland. She had to wait for decades before she could marry the man of her life. Now she is an enormous asset to the Royal Family and to Sweden. My favourite Prince is the Prince of Wales for having the guts to go his own ways from time to time (But I'll never forgive him for divorcing Diana. How could any man divorce a woman like that?).
Robert, Sweden (October 25th, 1999)

My favourite royals are Tsar Nikolaj II of Russia and Tsar Samuil of Macedonia, and their wifes Tsaritsa Aleksandra Feodorovna and Tsaritsa Marija. There are no words to describe the life of Tsar Nikolaj II, it makes me feel sad. Tsar Samuil died a week after he saw his soldiers blinded by Tsar Vasil II of the Byzantine Empire. No royal convert has ever been that devoted to their religion as Tsaritsa Aleksandra and her sister the Grand Duchess Elisaveta of Russia. No Empress that has had her husband been killed and her taken on a parade through the streets of the Constantinople held herself so high as Tsaritsa Marija in 1014.
Sergei, Ukraine (October 22nd, 1999)

My without any doubt most favourite Queen (Mother) is Juliana of the Netherlands. I also like Queen Beatrix a lot. My favourite Crown Prince is Willem-Alexander the Prince of Oranje. My favourite Prince is Prince Claus, and my favourite Princess Margriet, all of the Netherlands
Oscar, the Netherlands (October 18th, 1999)

I like HIM Empress Farah Pahlavi of Iran. Apart from her extraordinary beauty when she lived in Iran she demonstrated she was a big Queen. She worked in favour of women's rights, children, poor people. She was open to everyone. she showed her big heart and to be a kind, sweet woman. Now in the hard exile she has maintained with dignity the memory of the Iranian monarchy and the rememberance of her late husband. I think Empress Farah deserves not to be forgotten but remembered as one of the biggest Queens of this Century.

My favourite princesses are of course Princess Farahnaz and Princess Leila of Iran. Both are very beautiful and I am sure they have come into the kindness and sweetness of their mother.
Daniel, Spain (October 18th, 1999)

Fav. King: Juan Carlos of Spain. He is very human although he is the KING.
Fav Crown Prince: Felipe of Spain
Fav Prince: Johan Friso of the Netherlands
Fav Princess: Astrid of Belgium
José, Spain (October 17th, 1999)

My favourite person out of all royalty is Tsar Samuil of Macedonia (976-1014). My favourite Empress is Tsaritsa Elisaveta Petrovna of Russia. The reason I picked these two is because they had the greatest influence on their countries then any other ruler. My favourite exiled Queen is Farah Pahlavi, Empress of Iran, for she is the first woman who became Empress of Iran. My favourite exiled Prince is Archduke Otto von Habsburg, for I am a supporter of his family and work.
Steven, South Africa (October 16th, 1999)

My all time favourite King is Simeon II of Bulgaria. He seems like such an intelligent, kind man. He has worked very hard to help his homeland, and he has brought up five beautiful children. For his handsomeness, sweetness, kindness and intelligence I choose Felipe of Spain for my favourite Crown Prince. He is going to make an excellent King due to having wonderfully strong parents and an inate sense of right vs. wrong.

I must say I admire the Princes Konstantine and Kyrill of Bulgaria for their qualities like their father, and I believe Archduke Georg of Habsburg is a force to be reckoned with in the future. He obviously loves Budapest and his family's old empire. The same goes for Prince Pavlos of Greece. As for my favourite Princess? There are so many! Probably the Duchess of Badajoz, sister of King Juan Carlos, Princess Elena of Spain and Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece. She has brought so much to the Greek monarchy.
Moira, USA (October 15th, 1999)

My favourite royals include Queen Victoria (naturally); the late Queen Sophie of the Hellenes (maligned by the media); the late Baby Bee (Beatrice of Saxe-Coburg), a truly spirited woman; Hereditary Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg (well-educated, classy and elegant woman); Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy (a true Princess of elegance); King Juan Carlos of Spain (strenght to fight adversity); the Prince of Wales (educated, misunderstood); and Queen Elizabeth II.
Marlene, USA (October 14th, 1999)

The fav King is King Juan Carlos of Spain.
The fav Queen is the old Queen Marie Jose of Italy.
The fav Crown Prince is Frederik of Denmark.
The fav Crown Princess is Victoria of Sweden.
The fav prince is Emmanuele Philiberto di Savoy, Prince di Venice.
The fav princess is Diane d"Orléans.
Charles, Australia (October 14th, 1999)

Favourite King: Karl I of Austria. He was a really human person and he led an example life.
Favourite Crown Prince: Alois of Liechtenstein. Both modern and traditional.
Favourite Prince: Heinrich of Hannover. Because he seems to be hated by everybody.
Favourite Princess: Astrid of Belgium. Perfect woman, perfect mother, perfect princess.
Jerome, France (October 13th, 1999)

My favourite monarchs are King Simeon of Bulgaria and King Michael of Romania. Both are shining examples of the advantage of someone who is born to leadership over elected leadership. Unlike elected politicians King Simeon and King Michael work untiringly for the benefit of their subjects (as far as I am concerned they are the legitimate kings of their countries). They are far above and beyond politics, and they are concerned for the next generation, while politicians seek to strengthen their own positions. How many elected politicians would lift a finger for their country if they were exiled from childhood?

Other favourites are King Albert of Belgium and Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands. Both have recently used their moral persuasion to take firm stands on issues of principle against the elected leadership and prevailed. Both are deservedly more popular than any elected politician in their country.

My favourite princes and princesses are Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, for her firm determination to be human and open in spite of her position. Crown Prince Willem-Alexander for maintaining the delicate balance between being normal and human while maintaining the dignity required of his position, and for his involvement in water management -- a non-glamorous interest of the prince's, which reflects his personal concern for the welfare of the country and his desire to contribute.
Yisrael, Israel (October 13th, 1999)

My favourite King is Juan Carlos of Spain. He is very attractive, he is modern thinking and liberal and I think he is a normal person who loves his family that much that he was able to do reforms! I also like that he is able to enjoy his life (especially on Majorca) although he is a king. He seems to me very human!

My favourite Crown Prince is Felipe of Spain, my favourite Prince Kubrat of Bulgaria and my favourite Princess is Archduchess Maria Paloma of Austria. My favourite royal baby is Froilan, the son of Princess Elena of Spain.
Verena, Germany (October 13th, 1999)

My favourite is King Juan Carlos of Spain because he is always with his people in the happiness and in sadness. The Crown Prince Felipe of Spain, he is the most prepared Prince in the last years in Spain, Prince Nikolaos of Greece, he is cute. And Princess Alexia of Greece for her job with deficient's children.
Fabiane, Brazil (October 13th, 1999)

My favourites are Queen Silvia of Sweden, the most beautiful woman in the world, Princess Alexandra of Denmark, because she is so talented, and Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, because she is so smart, lively and perky.
Lars, Sweden (October 13th, 1999)

My favourite King is His Majesty Simeon II (for obvious reasons, as I am of Bulgarian origine). My favourite Queen is Rania of Jordan (the grace, the beauty), and maybe Margrethe of Denmark. Face it, if her people actually WATCH her Christmas address, she must be quite a Queen indeed. My favourite Crown Prince is Charles Prince of Wales (Netty: I don't mind Elenita!). He seems to be honest and caring, though reserved. He doesn't put on a show, but his love for his country is deep and unflinching. For someone so exceedingly priviliged, he has suffered a whole lot. Go, Charles!

My favourite Prince: Hmm... though choice. I would say Johan Friso, just because he managed to clinch a degree in aero-astro engineering, and I know how hard this is. I also think Frederik of Denmark is among my top choices (Netty: thanks!), because he has worked with the homeless in Boston. Worked being the keyword here. It's easy to visit a shelter for a day, but just try to REALLY make a difference. My favourite Princess is Kalina of Bulgaria.
Elenita, USA (October 13th, 1999)

My favourite Crown Prince is Felipe of Spain. So handsome and from what I have heard, a very nice gentleman. My favourite Prince is Kardam of Bulgaria. My favourite Princess is probably Marie-Chantal of Greece. I believe people under-rate her. My favourite monarch is King Juan Carlos of Spain. However my favourite of all time is Victoria of Great Britain.
Catrina (October 13th, 1999)

I love Prince Felipe.
I love Prince Nikolaos of Greece. What a BABE!
I think Princess Rosario of Bulgaria is beautiful!
I love Queen Elizabeth of Great Britain. Classy lady!
Monica (October 13th, 1999)

My favourite Crown Prince is Felipe of Spain. Reason? Because he is soooo handsome plus he went to the same school where I attended in the USA, Georgetown. My favourite Crown Princess is Victoria of Sweden. She is smart with full of confidence. I lover her big and sweet smile very much. I think she can be a good queen in the future. My favourite reignign King is Juan Carlos of Spain. He is down to earth and very sporty. My favourite reigning Queen is Margrethe II of Denmark. She is very talented and down to earth as well. She seems to be very approachable.

I like Crown Prince Haakon of Norway and Prince Johan Friso of the Netherlands as well because we all went to UC Berkeley. Haakon is good looking with a good heart. I also like Infanta Cristina of Spain and Princess Alexandra of Denmark. Cristina looks very friendly. Alexandra is very elegant and well-adjusted herself to the European royalty. I am proud of her as being an Asian.
Darlene, USA (October 12th, 1999)

My favourite Crown Prince is Felipe of Spain. My favourite Princess is Elena of Spain. My favourite King is Simeon of Bulgaria, and of the reigning kings Juan Carlos of Spain. My favourite English royal is Alexander Earl of Ulster. I am a fan of Pavlos of Greece, Marie-Chantal, Sibilla of Luxemburg, Prince Charles and the Romanian royal family.
Cicely (October 12th, 1999)

My favourite prince is Laurent of Belgium, as he loves animals. I like Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, and also Queen Beatrix and King Albert. I thought Princess Diana was very symphatic.
Thea, Belgium/ the Netherlands (October 12th, 1999)

My favourite reigning Queen is Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands because of the excellent way she fills in her position. My favourite crown princess is Victoria of Sweden. And that is because she almost gave away under the pressure of her position, fought back and is almost fully recovered. My favourite princess you don't have to ask as you know that is Princess Madeleine of Sweden, just because she is the most beautiful princess in the world.
Henri, the Netherlands (October 12th, 1999)

My favourites are:
* King Albert II of the Belgians
* Queen Paola of the Belgians
* Prince Philippe of Belgium
* Maria Teresa of Luxemburg
* Joachim of Denmark
* Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden
* Princess Astrid of Belgium
Tanguy, Belgium (October 12th, 1999)

My favourite royal person ever is Princess Margareth of Connaught, grandmother of the present King Carl Gustaf of Sweden. She was a very talented painter and she was a very beautiful, Victorian style Princess. She died very young.

I like King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, who first was a young and shy person but has become a respected King and has always done everything for Sweden. He has made lots of efforts to receive such popularity and respect he nowadays has.

The Queen of all is Noor of Jordan. A modern, fairytale, beautiful, intelligent, educated. I really admire her strenght after the death of King Hussein and during the funeral. She has done a lot for her country and people. Still she is not only the charity-queen, she is also a living person, looks great, has a (family) life of her own, hobbies, etc. Think, when she married King Hussein, the royal palace was full of children from the king's previous marriages. That must not have been easy to become the wife, stephmother and queen at the same time!

My favourite Crownprince is Philippe of Belgium. He is a quiet person, but does his job in his own modest way...never making much "noise" of himself. My favourite Prince is Nikolaos of Greece. HANDSOME! My favourite Princess is Archduchess Francesca of Austria. In interviews she has very interesting and "mature" opinions.
Kaija, Finland (October 12th and 15th, 1999)

Althought there are cuter princes, and I do like Victoria of Sweden, I have to say that Prince Charles is my favourite crown prince. I am very glad he's public about his views and I tend to agree with him on things like architecture, organic farming, genetic engineering, and alternative medicine. He may be a bit of a cad at times, but I think he knows it has tried to be a good father.

My favourite prince is Arch Duke Karl of Austria because he takes interest in European affairs and for, ostensibly, not acting the brat (like Hanover). My favourite princess is Anne, the Princess Royal, of England for her stodgy ways. Also nice is Princess Alexandra of Denmark - it can't be easy to be Asian in European aristocratic circles, even if she was born rich.

I know you didn't ask, but my least favourites are Crown Prince Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, and Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece.
James, USA (October 11th, 1999)

My favourite Crown Prince is Frederik of Denmark, but Haakon of Norway is very close. It is more complicated to answer why. Of course I like his good looks, but it is more than that ... I like his style, I think he's got that bad boy look.
Louise, Canada (October 10th, 1999)

My favourite Crown Prince is Frederik of Denmark. My favourite Prince is William of the United Kingdom, and my favourite Princess is Caroline of Monaco. I also follow Crown Prince Felipe of Spain and Peter Phillips of England.

My favourite King is Juan Carlos of Spain, and my favourite Queen is Elizabeth II of Great Britain.
Carl, USA (October 10th and 13th, 1999)

My favourite prince is HRH Prince Guillaume of Luxemburg, the son of Crown Prince Henri and Princess Maria Teresa. He is not only extremely handsome but he comes from a family of good catholic values (no scandals).
Catherine, USA (October 11th, 1999)

My favourite Crown Prince would be Pavlos of Greece. My favourite Prince would be Nikolaos of Greece and my favourite Princess would be Marie-Chantal of Greece. I like them all because they seem to be happy and have a stable family life. They are good looking and seem to get along with the other royal families.
Sylvia (October 11th, 1999)

My favourite Prince is Johan Friso of the Netherlands. He is very handsome and very intelligent. I like that he always appears uncomfortable in public, but still makes his brief appearances, and I really admire that he has been able to find success and hapiness (at least he appears to have) in areas that are moved from his family influence. He also fascinates because he's so allusive, and seems so good at hiding from the press. My favourite Crown Prince is his brother Willem-Alexander. He seems very personable and nice, really the kind of person who'd be a good king.
Cameron, USA (October 10th and 12th, 1999)

My favourites are:
* Princess Stephanie of Monaco, her life can be made by the gossip-magazines.
* Princess Caroline of Monaco: I think she is the most beautiful princess.
* Prince Laurent of Belgium: unknown, and interesting is to find out why he was replaced by his sister Astrid on the second place of the list of succeeders to the throne.
* King Albert of Belgium: he looks like he is a good king. He also seems to be human (motor-riding, drinking beer).
* Princess Margaretha and Prince Nikolaus von und zu Liechtenstein, as they look extremely normal, they could live in the same street as you do.
My sister is fond of Henri and Maria Teresa of Luxemburg.
Marlies, The Netherlands (October 10th, 1999)
