There were still greeting lists to be signed at the royal palace shop. On the first day of my stay in Stockholm I of course wrote down my congratulations to Crown Princess Victoria and the future Prince Daniel here.

Dinner at the East Indies Ship Götheborg at Skeppsholmen. Among the guests were representants of the government and local officials.

June 17th
In the morning we accidentally arrived at the cathedral just before Crown Princess Victoria and Daniel Westling left after one of the rehearsals during these days. It was our first sighting of the couple, and the first ever of the groom.

Private dinner at Drottningholm Palace hosted by King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia. About 200 guests were attending, mainly friends.

June 18th
Lunch at Sturehofs Slott. Guests were transported there from Drottningholm and the town hall in Stockholm by boat. Just before 11am we saw a bus leaving the hotel. Spotted behind one of the windows was Princess Máxima of the Netherlands.

When passing the Danish royal yacht Dannebrog in the afternoon we accidentally saw Prince Richard zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg leaving the ship.
2.30pm-4pm: Government reception at the Stockholm City Hall in Stockholm, hosted by the Swedish government. About 700 guests were attending. We decided to have a look and see Crown Princess Victoria, Daniel Westling, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia leaving the city hall. Unfortunately it slowly started to rain, and when the car with the royals left the town hall around 4.35pm, it started raining heavily. We however saw them in the car and waved before finding a good place to shelter from the rain.

6.30pm-8pm: Dinner at the Eric Ericsson-hall on Skeppsholmen in Stockholm, hosted by the Swedish government. About 300 guests were attending.

8.30pm: Concert at Stockholm Concert Hall, hosted by the Swedish parliament. A number of prominent artists and musicians will take part, together with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. About 1600 guests were attending.
