A Busy Week – Royal and Private

It has been a very busy week. A royal wedding (Princess Marie-Gabrielle of Nassau and Antonius Willms), royal engagements in Württemberg (Duchess Sophie with Maximilien d’Andigné) and Japan (Princess Mako and Kei Komuro), Prince George of Cambridge’s first school day, Prince Henrik of Denmark announced suffering from dementia, and of course most royals have started working again. Furthermore of course there was hurricane Irma and an earthquake in Mexico.

On a more personal level, it is my birthday in the coming week. I had to do some cleaning and as you can see above my desk hasn’t looked that empty in years I think. Furthermore I had to do quite a bit of shopping. Most visitors are already coming today. Among them my webhost and several royalty watchers, so I will be quite busy. A few more visitors to come later this week. I hope to find some time to write new pieces for my blog tomorrow. But I also have to go into town as my vacuum cleaner – always happens at the wrong moment – has decided I need a new one.

At least you can have a look above where I do most of my writing for website, blog and work.

  1. Happy Birthday Netty, I hope you have a wonderful day with family and friends, and a lot of presents. Thank you so much for all the updates on your blog. I always enjoy reading it, and learning about the many royals. My sympathies to the Danish royals; dementia is a horrible, horrible disease for a family to deal with. I wonder if his dementia is why he can’t understand that he can’t be the king.

  3. Dear Betty,
