His Imperial Highness Grand Duke George Michailovitch of Russia was born at the Lloreto Clinic in Madrid, Spain, on 13 March 1981.
George was born as son of Prince Franz Wilhelm of Prussia (born 1943) and his former wife Grand Duchess Maria of Russia (born 1953).
Georgi attended the Runnymede College in Madrid, Spain, Doverbroecks College in Oxford, Great Britain, and St Benet's Hall in Oxford, Great Britain.
George worked as an assistant for Loyola de Palacio, former European Commissioner for Transport and Energy, at the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium. He worked at the European Commission's Directorate-General for Atomic Energy and Security in Luxembourg. In December 2008 he became president of Norilsk Nickel Europe, and chief executive of Metal Trade Overseas, the main sales hub for Norilsk Nickel.
