On 29 August 2015 Prince Franz Clemens von Altenburg married Countess Eleonore zu Toerring-Jettenbach at the Wallfahrtskirche of the Monastery of Andechs. The wedding was followed by a reception outside the church. In the evening a soiree was held at Seefeld Castle.
He was born in 1985 as son of Prince Johannes von Altenburg and his wife Eugenie née Fundulus. She was born in 1984 as daughter of Count Hans-Caspar zu Toerring-Jettenbach and Countess Elisabeth von Waldburg zu Zeil und Trauchburg.
There were many royal and noble guests including (see pictures above) the Margrave and Margravinne of Baden, the Duke and Duchess of Bragança with their eldest children Afonso and Maria Francisca, as well as Prince François d’Orléans and his wife Theresa. Other guests were Duke Franz of Bavaria, Duke Max and Duchess Elizabeth in Bavaria, Duchess Helene in Bavaria, Princess Elisabeth in Bavaria and Daniel Terberger, Prince Lukas and Princess Alice von Auersperg, Prince Ferdinand and Princess Auguste zur Lippe-Weissenfeld and the Hereditary Couple zu Toerring-Jettenbach.
