The wedding of Hereditary Prince Franz-Albrecht zu Oettingen-Spielberg and Baronesse Cleopatra von Adelsheim

The civil wedding had already taken place on 4 June 2016 at Adelsheim Castle, Germany, in private. The religious wedding was celebrated much bigger at the St. Jakobs Church in Oettingen, the ancestral home of the groom, on 9 July 2016. Hereditary Prince Franz-Albrecht zu Oettingen-Oettingen und Oettingen-Spielberg married his long time girlfriend Baronesse Cleopatra von Adelsheim von Ernest. The bride wore a fairytale bridal dress by Italian designer Luisa Beccaria and on her head was a big diademe of the family of her husband. In the evening the bride changed into a dress by Lebanese designer Sandra Mansour.

Franz-Albrecht Alois Christian Ferdinand Maria Notger, Hereditary Prince zu Oettingen-Oettingen und Oettingen-Spielberg was born in München, Germany, on 16 September 1982 as son of Albrecht Fürst zu Oettingen-Oettingen und Oettingen-Spielberg and his wife Angela Jank. He has three younger sisters. He studied politics and history in London.

Cleopatra Olivia Elena Natasha Beatrice Friederike Louisa baronesse von Adelsheim von Ernest was born in Bern ,Switzerland, on 3 October 1987 as daughter of Baron Louis von Adelsheim von Ernest and Lillian Baettig Rodriguez. She has the Chilean and Swedish nationality. Cleopatra attended the English school in Santiago de Chile and the Internat Salem, Germany, and graduated from Hurtwood House School in Great Britain. She studied journalism and international communication at the American University of Paris, and afterwards took workshops at the Estudio Juan Carlos Corazza in Madrid. She worked as a model. As an actress she uses the name Cleo Adelsheim. Cleopatra was christened on 30 April 2016 in the Castle Chapel Maria Himmelfahrt in Hirschbrunn.

The couple will live at Hirschbrunn Castle near Oettingen and in Görlsdorf.

As their witnesses bride and groom had chosen Princess Nora zu Oettingen-Oettingen und Oettingen-Spielberg, Princess Isabella Gaetani von Lobkowicz, Beatrice Borromeo, Vanessa von Minckwitz-Denz, the Hereditary Count Fugger von Babenhausen, Fabian von Schilcher and Caspar von Veltheim. Juliet von Schilcher and Baronesse Marie von Lerchenfeld were flower girls. The bridal children were Lilian Oetker, Sylvester Güntsche, Daliah Shahrivar, Countess Sophia Fugger von Babenhausen, Countess Josepha Fugger von Babenhausen and Count Antonius Fugger von Babenhausen.

Bride and groom had invited 800 guests for their wedding. Among them Pierre (invisible) and Beatrice Casiraghi, and apparently also Prince Harry of Wales, who was accompanied by his good friend Thomas van Straubenzee. Who also didn’t appear in public. Also Duke Max and Duchess Elizabeth in Bavaria were present, as were Hereditary Prince Carl-Eugen zu Oettingen-Oettingen und Oettingen-Wallerstein and his wife Anna, George, Earl Percy and his younger siblings Lord Max Percy (the boyfriend of the groom’s sister Nora) and Lady Catherine Percy, Hereditary Prince Maximilian zu Hohenlohe-Bartenstein and his wife Cristina, Count Georg and Countess Anna von Waldburg-Wolfegg und Waldsee, Prince Casimir zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn and his girlfriend Alana Bunte, Princess Isabelle zu Hohenlohe-Jagstberg, and many others.
