Yet Another Wedding – In Aulendorf

Yet another wedding. The wedding season started in April and at the moments there seem to big royal or noble weddings each Saturday. On Saturday 1 July 2017 Philipp Lovrek married Countess Alice zu Königsegg-Aulendorf at the Parish Church St. Martin in Aulendorf. The civil wedding already took place at Königseggwald on 1 May 2017.

Philipp was born in 1988 as son of Michael Lovrek and his wife née Countess Johanna von Thun und Hohenstein. Alice was born in 1992 as daughter of Hereditary Count Maximilian zu Königsegg-Aulendorf and his wife née Countess Marie Valerie Kinsky von Wchinitz und Tettau.

The bride arrived at church with her father and the flower children. She wore a lovely white dress with small sleeves and yet again a beautiful tiara. The service was led by Father Paul Habsburg, a member of the Imperial Family of Austria.

About 600 guests had turned up to celebrate the bridal couple. Among them were Reigning Prince Hans Adam II of Liechtenstein and his wife Princess Marie, Prince Maximilian and Princess Angela of Liechtenstein, Princess Marie Gabrielle de Nassau and Antonius Wilms, Duke Friedrich and Duchess Marie von Württemberg, Duke Philipp and Duchess Marie von Württemberg. Also members of the families Austria, Auersperg, Hohenzollern, Khevenhüller-Metsch, Neipperg, Oldenburg, Orsini und Rosenberg, Quadt, Rechberg, Toerring-Jettenbach, Trauttmansdorff-Weinsberg, Waldburg, Waldeck und Pyrmont.

The Schwäbische Zeitung attended the reception in the park of the castle in Königseggwald after the wedding. Photos here. The newspaper remembers that the last big celebration in the castle took place already for 30 years when Alice’s aunt Countess Isabel married. 1997 the golden wedding of Fürst Joachim Egon and Fürstin Paula zu Fürstenberg (née countess zu Königsegg-Aulendorf) was celebrated here too.
