Rain can’t stop the bride smiling

Originally planning to marry on 30 May 2020 also Ferdinand Lovrek and his bride Countess Vittoria von Waldburg zu Wolfegg und Waldsee postponed their wedding because of Covid-19. The couple got engaged in August 2019.

On 26 September 2020 they finally could marry, as planned in the Parish Church St. Katharina in Wolfegg, Germany. Smaller than originally hoped for for sure, but with their beloved ones present. Unfortunately the weather was windy, cold and rainy. The guests walked up the street to the church and after the wedding the bridal couple drove in a closed carriage to the castle for the rest of the party. As the wedding only took place at 3pm guests were already wearing evening dress.

Photos by friends of mine who only managed to see some guests and the carriage ride.

Among the guests were Fürst Erich and Fürstin Mathilde zu Waldburg-Zeil und Trauchburg, Duchess Marie of Württemberg, Duke Michael of Württemberg, Hereditary Prince Bernhard and Hereditary Princess Stephanie von Baden, members of the Auersperg, Lobkowicz and Waldburg-Zeil-Hohenems family.

Ferdinand Lovrek was born in 1985 as son of Paul Lovrek and Countess Marie-Beatrice von Auersperg-Trautson. Countess Vittoria was born in 1992 as daughter of Johannes Fürst von Waldburg zu Wolfegg und Waldsee and his wife Viviana dei Conti Rimbotti.

The couple will live in Vienna, Austria, where Ferdinad Lovrek works as a doctor in orthopedics and trauma surgery. Vittoria studied in Milan, Italy, and before her marriage worked as a management consultant in München, Germany.

Reports can be found in Bunte (four pages!), Frau im Spiegel (one page), there is a photo in 7 Tage also.
