On 21 August 2021 Hereditary Prince Paul Anton (Pál Antál) Esterházy von Galántha and Franziska von Reutter were engaged in the Zillertal, Tyrol, Austria. He was born in 1986 as son of Prince Anton (Antal) Esterházy von Galántha and his former wife Ursula Koenig. Franziska, who seems to be nicknamed Sissi, was born in 1989 as daughter of Georg von Reutter (grandson of Countess Marie Valerie von Meran, of a morganatic branche of the Austrian Imperial Family) and Joanna Doubleday. For their ancestry see here.

While the civil wedding was planned to take place in Edelstetten, Bavaria, Germany – at least that is what the German magazine Bunte reported last year – they were married religiously on Saturday 30 July 2022 at the Pilgrimage Church of the Assumption of Mary (also called Maria Saal Cathedral) in Maria Saal, Carinthia, Austria, which is close to Klagenfurt.

The bride wore a lovely gown by Adeline Marx and a modern Gucci-veil with polka dots. The tiara is said to come from the family of the groom. But on Twitter “Tiara Mania” came with an interesting discovery. Earlier this year, in May, the collection of the late Lord and Lady Swaythling was auctioned at Christie’s. Among the items that were auctioned was a late 19th century tourmaline and diamond tiara, that can be converted into a necklace. It looks exactly like the tiara that the bride wore. Either it is the same design, or the family has bought this piece.

There were about 300 wedding guests. The reception was being held at the Tonhof, close to the Cathedral. In the evening a party was held at Gradisch Castle in Feldkirchen, that is the property of the counts von Goëss, related to the bride’s grandmother.

The magazine Bunte has a report. A small report can be found online also.
